Tackling Three Of Life’s Most Common Messes

Tackling Three Of Life’s Most Common Messes

Let’s face it; nobody enjoys cleaning. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to get rid of a big mess inside your home, especially when you’ve tried for hours and seemingly gotten nowhere. This is a common predicament that many people will find themselves in, and it can be both mentally and physically exhausting. While some messes are easy to clean, such as a spilled drink on the tile floor, others can be complicated and require special treatment to clean thoroughly. That being said, here are some of the most challenging messes to clean up and how to approach them.

Red Wine Stains

The first mess is arguably the most common, but don’t let that fool you; it’s certainly not easy to deal with. Red wine stains on the carpet are tricky as they can permanently dye the carpet fibers if left unattended or inadequately cleaned.  Luckily, because this problem has wreaked havoc on many homeowner’s carpets, people have found quick and effective ways to remove red wine effectively before it leads to permanent stains. Club soda is the cheapest, fastest, and most efficient method used to remove wine stains. Just dab club soda on the stain until it’s gone, and your carpet will look good as new.

Mold & Mildew

The second mess to clean up is slightly less common but more complex. Mildew is a fungus that can grow on any organic matter, mainly wood, and is caused by high humidity and water exposure levels. Mildew is prevalent in older homes and can pose some serious health risks if left untreated. We recommend using a bleach solution mixed with water to kill and scrub away the fungus to clean mildew. If you see any mildew in your home, it is best to get rid of it immediately to ensure your indoor space is healthy for you and your family.

Blood

The third and arguably the most arduous mess to clean up is human blood. While this is not something that everyone may encounter, it can be troublesome and challenging to deal with if you do happen to need to clean up after an injury. Often, this mess is caused by minor accidents that produce scrapes and cuts; however, some more significant events can create larger amounts of spilled blood.  Any blood splatter should be handled with caution to ensure your safety and that the area is cleaned appropriately and thoroughly.  For significant blood spills, you should have biohazard cleaning professionals come in and clean up the site so that all organic matter is eradicated.

Life can get messy; understanding what works best for each situation will ensure your home stays healthy and sparkling clean.
